I also remind folks how they tried to kill! The very first time he opened his mouth, they tried to kill him. That's a consistent theme, all the way through...they just eventually get that job done.

I would argue that in some ways you went deeper. I did not menton Borg or Crossan, and appreciate the quotes you used in your piece. Your post and mine I think work together to tell the story in a more complete way than either does alone. So ,thank you, it is a true gift when someone who wrote something I admire finds the same in my work.
