About

You can feel the pattern. You just can’t name it yet.

When the same administration blacklists an AI company for safety guardrails and then uses that AI to bomb a school — that’s not a tech story and a war story. It’s one story. When the same official who blocks Epstein files holds half a million in crypto while shutting down crypto enforcement — that’s not a corruption story and a regulatory story. It’s one story.

The beats are the trees. The cascade is the forest. Nobody assigned a reporter to cover the forest.

That’s what The RAMM does.

I document the machinery of institutional capture — who built it, who funds it, how the pieces connect, and how each captured institution enables the capture of the next. I maintain an open-source timeline of 4,776+ sourced events at capturecascade.org, every one dated, sourced, and verifiable under Creative Commons.

The investigations:

  • After the Arrest — 7 parts on what happens inside ICE detention after the cameras stop

  • The Gamergate Army Gets Badges and Guns — 8 parts tracing the 22-year pipeline from 4chan to federal law enforcement

  • The Moral Battlefield — 5 parts on witness, orientation, and the war beneath the war

  • The Epstein network — financial architecture, intelligence connections, and the DOJ obstruction pattern

Why this matters:

The regime’s strategy is fragmentation — keep each community fighting in isolation. My work connects the dots so different communities can see they’re facing the same machine. The tech worker who built the platforms. The civil rights activist in the streets. The union organizer building collective power. The lawyer fighting in court. Different entry points. Same story.

Background:

I spent twenty years in systems thinking — BDFL of TurboGears, Director of Engineering at Canonical and SourceForge, GitOps PM at Weaveworks where the term was coined. I learned from Deming that systems produce the outcomes they’re designed to produce. I learned from Boyd that tempo determines outcomes. I learned from Agre that institutions capture human activities and restructure them for institutional purposes. In 2025, I started applying those frameworks to what I saw unfolding. What I found was not a conspiracy. It was a system.
